Emerson is born!

Lauren woke up at 4 a.m. on Saturday, September 27 with cramping. They were not very consistent so she called her mom around 7:30 and tried to go about her day with Travis. They went to the Farmer's Market, Babys-R-Us and ran some other errands. After some spotting, Lauren went to Winnie Palmer Triage, where she measured 90% effaced and 3-4 cm. They sent her home and told her to come back when the contractions were closer together and stronger. Those contractions started 10 minutes after they went back home. I left Tallahassee at 2pm because I knew this was it! Lauren labored at home till around 8:15, when things really intensified. There was really no time between the contractions now. After a wild ride down Orange Avenue, Lauren stepped out of the truck and WHOOSH -- her water broke all over the Winnie Palmer valet parking lane. They wheeled her into Triage, where she sat in the wheelchair facing a waiting room full of visitors. After 30 minutes of sitting in fluid and ready to scream, they took her in the back. COMPLETE COMPLETE -- let's get her to Labor and Delivery. No time for gowns, check-in, etc. After about 30 minutes of pushing, beautiful little Emerson Leigh Frosch screamed her way into the world. My daughter and her husband were champs! My little Earth Mother -- no drugs (no time)!!!!!
