Happy 11 Months

WOW....time does fly when you're watching your baby grow up! I can't believe that Little E is already 11 months old. We'll be celebrating her first birthday in just a few weeks! Even though she has only been with us for 11 months, she has filled our hearts with many more memories than we can count!!

What's UP in Emerson's World:
Favorites-
Food: Goldfish
Color: Pink of course
Activity: Reading books and dancing
Day of the Week: Tuesday's because she gets to go to Kindermusik.
Book: Brown Bear Brown Bear by Eric Carle
Juice: White Grape Juice
Toys: Mommy's cell phone, flashcards, and Zoe doll

Dislikes-
Food- at the moment...anything on a spoon
Activity: getting her hair brushed
Juice: Apple Juice- yuck!
Toys: Occupational Therapy toys...like putting toys into a bucket.

Personality-
In the past few weeks we are noticing that Emerson is a little stubborn.
*See first picture*
She is very independent and likes to do things on her own time. Unfortunately, that doesn't work out so well when you have 4 therapy sessions a week. She is very good at fake crying but thankfully her therapist know her games! :-) Emerson is also a smiley, lovable, and snugly girl. She melts my heart in any mood she is in!

Accomplishments/Milestones-
Emerson is currently Army Crawling. I personally think that it looks more like a Worm Crawl. She is getting faster everyday! We are working on kneeling on a stool (with her pink pants). She is gaining arm strength from crawling which is benefiting her fine motor skills. She likes to wave to herself and clap toys together. She even has begun to help with dressing and undressing. She prefers no clothes!

Happy 11 Months, Baby Girl!!!

Emerson's First Vacation

Emerson just got back from her first vacation. She had a lot of fun in the sun without getting sunburn! :-) She was able to play in the sand, eat baby cookies on the couch, stay up late, and take lots of boat rides!!

Emerson especially enjoyed spending time with her Aunt Courtney, Uncle Tyson, and Uncle Brian.

Here Lobster...Lobster....

We've arrived! Emerson is officially on her first vacation in Marathon Key. Daddy and Uncle Tyson went out for 1 hour tonight to "look around" for lobster. They ended up with 10 bugs, but only one was legal. We ate a yummy appetizer with dinner!

I See You

Last Friday, Emerson started sitting up on her own. This afternoon when I went to get her from her nap, her little face was peeking over the railings of her crib. I've been waiting so long to walk into Emerson's room and see her little face looking at me! She is liking this independence and we couldn't be more proud!!
